Important Information

Anyone interested in being a Football or Basketball Cheerleader for the SMS 2020-2021 school year there is a Mandatory Parent Meeting on Thursday, February 27 at 6pm in the Multi-purpose room.

Reminder:  Volunteer Forms need to be filled out EACH SCHOOL YEAR. This even includes people who work in the District.  You can pick up a form at the front desk or download a form from this link.

Cheer packets will be delivered to the middle school for anyone interested to pick up. Everything MUST be completed and turned in (including current physical) before you will be eligible to participate in tryout practice, starting on February 25th.

SHS will host our annual NCAA night this Thursday, February 20 in the Cafeteria at 6pm.

This night is for athletes of all ages to come and learn about what requirements they must meet to be eligible to play college sports. It's better to have this information earlier than later!

North Florida Honor Band

Lakota Anderson, Benson Nissley, and Hannah McDonald participated in the N FL Honor Band activities this past week. Students from 6 surrounding counties auditioned to be a part of either the MS or HS bands and only the best players were accepted. They spent 3 days in rehearsals and concluded with performances by the MS and HS bands. Suwannee County had a total of 10 students who received this honor that included SHS, BHS, and SMS.

Congratulations to Joslyen Livinston, 8th grader, who participated in the Black Heritage Weekend in Jacksonville Feb. 15th. Students from across Florida to the Bahamas, were judged in areas that showcased various talents. Joslyen received 2nd place medals for both her flute solo and voice solo.
